With the legendary Ed Carr at the helm, Arras became the most celebrated and awarded Australian sparkling wine. To put Ed Carr’s achievements in perspective, Ed was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Champagne & Sparkling Wine Championships 2018 for his contribution to the development and success of the sparkling wine industry. He is the only non-champenois winemaker to receive the award.
This Blanc de Blancs 2013 is certainly amongst Ed’s finest wine so far. 100% Chardonnay sourced from Tasmania's East Coast, Derwent Valley & Coal River. 7% fermented in new French oak barriques. 7 years on lees and only 3g/L dosage. Beautifully complex and pure, it reminds you of Meursault’s minerality and poise. Toasty and creamy notes complete this extraordinary wine.
