Domaine Hudelot-Noëllat, Vougeot 1er Cru "Les Petits Vougeot" 2013
Region: Vougeot Premier Cru "Les Petits Vougeot" - Bourgogne
Variety: Pinot Noir
Domaine Alain Hudelot-Noëlat is now a reference in Burgundy. It was established in 1962 by Alain Hudelot. His grandson and upcoming Burgundy star Charles Van Canneyt is now in charge. Based in the Côte de Nuits village of Vougeot, the Domaine covers 10ha of vineyards over 4 villages and 15 appellations including icons like Richebourg, Romanée-Saint-Vivant, 1er Cru “Les Suchots” and, of course, 1er Cru “Les Petits Vougeot”.
”Les Petits Vougeot” is one of the most sought-after 1er Cru in Burgundy. Placed just a few meters away from Le Musigny Grand Cru (just above) and Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru (on its left). Needless to say, it is an outstanding terroir.
Sourced from the 0.54Ha and 40 years old, the grapes are 80% destemmed. The wine is then aged in 30% French oak for 16 months. A pure delight.
