Rill House "My Deer Bride" Chardonnay 2019

With only a few acres planted in the early 90's on a very cool site at over 650m altitude in the Macedon Ranges, owners Caroline Aebersold and Richard Price are dedicated to producing super premium Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc, all managed organically and perfectly suited to the unique vineyard’s conditions.
This is a wine of intensity and character despite the light body.
It was fermented by indigenous yeasts in 50% new French oak barrels which is providing the texture and support for the citrus and stone fruit, as well as roasted nuts notes. The wine underwent malolactic fermentation creating a balanced and delicate mouthfeel.
At the 2018 Macedon Wine Show, this wine’s first ever entry in a wine show, it impressed all judges and won no less than three Trophies. It already has an impressive pedigree.
