Champagne André Clouet Rosé No3
Region: Champagne - Bouzy and Ambonnay
Variety: 100% Pinot Noir
History is very important for Champagne André Clouet. The Clouet Family started making wine in Champagne in 1741 in the village of Bouzy. Today Jean-François Clouet is in charge, and the legacy lives on. The Clouet’s flamboyant labels, still used today, were designed in 1911 by Jean-François’s great-grandfather. Jean-François lives in the family home built in 1741 and he is establishing a legacy of his own by creating some of Champagne’s favourite wines.
The villages of Bouzy and Ambonnay are the epicentre of Pinot Noir in Champagne and Jean-François only sources grapes from these two villages to create his 100% Pinot Noir Champagnes.
Calling the Rosé “No3” was inspired by Coco Chanel, the number introduced to denote the style, recognising that the colour and flavours are different each year. This one is very elegant and fresh with poise and lots of red berries and watermelon notes.
