Champagne André Clouet "Silver" Brut Nature
Region: Champagne - Bouzy and Ambonnay
Variety: 100% Pinot Noir
History is very important for Champagne André Clouet. The Clouet Family started making wine in Champagne in 1741 in the village of Bouzy. Today Jean-François Clouet is in charge, and the legacy lives on. The Clouet’s flamboyant labels, still used today, were designed in 1911 by Jean-François’s great-grandfather. Jean-François lives in the family home built in 1741 and he is establishing a legacy of his own by creating some of Champagne’s favourite wines.
The villages of Bouzy and Ambonnay are the epicentre of Pinot Noir in Champagne and Jean-François only sources grapes from these two villages to create his 100% Pinot Noir Champagnes.
This Brut Nature is a unique cuvée from a "late" harvest. After 48 months on lees, this cuvée offers the balance and mouthfeel required without the need of any residual sugar. It is Champagne power in a glass.
